“London-based campaigner India told the Daily Mail...”

Oh, well, if the Daily Mail ran with it it must be true right?

Argh! Facts seem to mean nothing anymore, and it makes me want to tear my hair out.

I always think of the Will Ferrell-in-Zoolander quote: “I feel like I’m taking crazy pills!”

I don’t know if this happens elsewhere in the world, or just the US, but every few months or so, the news starts reporting about new text abbreviations that teens are using to get around their snooping parents. But it’s always the most lame stuff that no teen would ever actually say.

PART = parents are reading this

BTW = bring the weed

It’s all just so stupid and I’ve wondered where the reporters even get these ideas. Maybe it’s the same reporters that are reposting pizzagate drivel.

Man it's hectic out there huh. I really enjoy all your articles and find myself just "yes!" "yes!!" "ah, yes!!" the whole ways through. I found this community after deleting facebook from my phone pretty much the day after I decided to finally see what pizzagate was all about. Scrolling the comments in here is way better for my mental health than me facebook wall.

Thanks for sharing and introducing me to other writers/thinkers I can get amongst in my online travels. Hope you're having a lush Wednesday David!

There is a great article in the MIT Technology Review all about how QAnon is catnip for American Evangelicals. It shows how they are being targeted through posts the utilize the same type of evangelical talking points. The closure of churches during the pandemic helped to push more congregants online where QAnon was ready and waiting to speak to them. https://www.technologyreview.com/2020/08/26/1007611/how-qanon-is-targeting-evangelicals/

I despair. There is only one conspiracy, and it started at the time someone managed to sucker human beings into thinking that an individual could 'own' land for his exclusive use - and abuse. Since that unhappy day, the wealthy have done all that they can to increase their wealth at the expense of the large majority, who are stupid enough to let them get way with it. They used to do this by giving the masses sufficient bread that they didn't go hungry and distracting them with circuses. Now they're a bit more subtle and create an insatiable greed for possessions to keep people working and making them even more money, and distracting us with crap like celebrity culture and conspiracy theories via the appalling Facebook.

Ugh it’s always about that 24 hour news cycle... Can we ever go back to “less is more”? But then it’s also that no one pays for news anymore so it just becomes about selling ads...

"I feel like screaming into my pillow". I felt that, David. It's good to know I'm not alone in feeling like this. Take care of yourself and try to stay as sane as you can. 🙃😂
